Please don't treat me like I was born yesterday. This is no lone wolf,
this is NOT a person pulling pranks. Rather, I suspect this boy (20
yrs old, please!) is being made a scapegoat. All the activities
attributed to him don't make sense.. it's the handiwork of an expert
team tasked specifically with spreading hatred and disinformation in
addition to recruiting for ISIS, not some teenager's ramblings.
My hypothesis is that all the fake online postings : ISIS recuiter,
white supremacist, feminist, Palestine hater.. all were traced back
and found to be coming from the same source. Up till here the findings
are true. There IS an agency at work doing the ideological equivalent
of supplying weapons to all sides of the conflict in this information
war. But the next step : identifying that source : that's where
they've failed. They likely traced it to a spoofed IP address and so
this boy has been set up, or is only one of the larger team doing it.
I'm inclined to think he's been set up. The case at hand is the
handiwork of seasoned experts.
This is one crucial piece of evidence pointing to the possibility that
ISIS is a creation of the very people who want to go to war against
it. For justifying their war and saving their sinking economy.
With the NSA practically owning the internet, having clearly exhibited
its powers to shut down, censor and hound anyone as in Wikileaks'
example, knowing all the revelations made by the Snowden leaks, there
is no way ISIS's internet outreach would have been allowed to get to
its present proportions without the NSA deliberately letting it
happen. I was previously under the assumption that they're only using
underground networks and cannot be traced and that the people visiting
their sites, forums must be religiously (pls forgive the pun!) doing
so through Tor network and other proxies and avoiding leaking their
original IP addresses etc. But Twitter and Facebook pages? Are you
freakin' kidding me?? That's above-ground territory! Instantly
traceable! These guys should have been picked up after the very first
round of posts! The people visiting them, pressing Like / retweet /
reply, would also be instantaneously identified.
Someone "likes" an adverse comment about a bandh called upon the
passing away of a deceased Indian leader, and they can get arrested by
Indian police immediately. And you're telling me that the most
sophisticated police and military powers on the planet are not able to
do anything about ISIS's open online presence?
And videos >> Youtube >> also under full governmental control! Please!
Their automated systems can flag me if I post a filming of a college
dance on a bollywood song, identifying the exact song that was
playing. Are you seriously telling me they can't identify ISIS's
videos and cut them off? Hello ?!
Curiously, the movie Iron Man 3 depicted this very idea before ISIS
arose. Did the scriptwriters catch a meme from an ongoing scripting
process?
Then, coming to all the reportage in the mainstream media about
children of Muslims immigrants living in Western countries, in India
etc being lured and brainwashed by ISIS. Now, the vast majority of
these idiots don't even know about how to browse the internet's
underground undetected. They're presumably checking out these things
in completely identifiable ways, through their genuine facebook,
twitter etc accounts, traceable right back to their homes.
Besides, if they knew how to browse the internet's underground, they
would have stumbled upon ISIS's real motives by now. If they cannot
figure out that ISIS is being funded and controlled by vested central
powers who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks in their name and then used it
as justification to cause all the carnage in the middle east, if they
cannot see through that ISIS is not a genuine Islamist movement; if
they have not seen even one of the 100s of underground indie
documentaries exposing the western imperialist agenda through the
rigged war on terror, then I'm sorry, they're idiots.
Which means : The governments of all the countries crying hoarse about
ISIS recruiting their migrant muslims' kids, know full well that those
kids are being courted by ISIS. If they wanted to, they could detect
and stop them and reform them after literally the first click. At the
vert least, they could easily place them under house arrest without
access to internet and provide counselling. Which means these
governments are ALLOWING misguided Muslim youths to get brainwashed
and then join ISIS as recruits. This is Entrapment.
And then we come to strategy. Now whether you agree or disagree about
what the reality behind ISIS is, you will have to agree with this :
Looking at the situation on the ground, the best, most effective way
on this planet to stop ISIS from getting more recruits, to stop this
insurgency from getting out of hand, to fail them in their quest, is
by spreading the idea far and wide that ISIS is a US sponsored CIA
front and is deliberately doing what it's doing to provide
justification to USA and allies for doing more war that will only kill
more Muslims. This meme, irrespective of accuracy, would dry ISIS up
faster than anything else. If any country was genuinely serious about
stopping ISIS, they would have been spreading this idea wildly by now.
But they're not (apart from Russia who are promoting this over RT).
Not because they're honest-to-goodness, but because they WANT a war.
Hi! This blog is testament to the fact that the voices in my head are truly out of my control! Rather than going crazy about it, i've decided to channel them constructively!

Infinite growth mentality applied to Bakri-Eid
The traditions of Bakri-Eid, like most traditions around the world involving animal-slaughter or hunting.. were for another time, when the population ratios were very different, when most of the people in question practiced animal husbandry as a primary or secondary occupation.
Closer to home, it was painful for me to one day pass a gated ground a few days before Eid, in the peth areas, where thousands of goats had been crammed in. I drove by there daily, so knew that this wasn't a regular place where goats are reared : this was a ground used for other purposes. It was a sea of helpless bleats. I'm opposed to this infinite-growth mentality applied to Bakri-Eid just the same as I'm opposed to the infinite-growth mentality applied to the meat industry. The Muslim community needs to start talking about this, needs to make some changes. Delaying that talk in the name of religion is only serving to demonize them even more in this already polarizing climate.
To do the exact same thing right now also, without any regulation, any rethinking or restraint, is wrong. There needs to be a much broader dialogue around this. I don't think either banning or not banning is a solution. A common understanding needs to be developed.

Are you sure you anger is directed at the true perpetrator of the crime?
Posted as a comment under several comments under a graphic on FB of a rape victim in Iran who was charged and hanged recently, instead of punishing her attacker. Link.
Due regrets and prayers for her. However, I see her case now being used as part of a grand buildup to justify war on Iran and Islam in general. So, here's my comment:
Similar to the buildup of demonization of Jews in the leadup to World War 2, there is an ongoing campaign around the world right now to demonize Islam. Have a problem? Muslims are the cause : remove them and then we'll all live happily. My ass. Needless to say, injustice is committed by brutal societies that use religions like the Fractional Reserve banking system, Capitalism, Communism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam etc to justify their brutality. (List written in decreasing order of atrocities committed or associated empirically, in modern history. And yes, they're ALL religions that justify themselves to be true based on their own books and theories and grossly warped understandings of reality) The current economic paradigm of infinite growth : the one we're bring distracted from, the one our governments are committed to, has been committing structural violence and slaughtering millions of people more than any backward Sharia court can. Acknowledge the badness of one, but please don't do it while ignoring the big fat elephant in the room.
In Iran's case in particular, there is an ongoing campaign by the world's elite to invade and bomb the country, to reduce it to rubble, to keep the Dollar unchallenged as the world's primary currency and to keep the defaulting fractional banking system going through increased expenditures in war and reconstruction. Disaster creates economic growth, so let's create more disasters. Iran has never invaded any other country in all its modern history. USA has invaded practically everyone.
In any case, to all the people in this comments wall who are claiming at all of Islam is evil : I better not find YOU one day slaughtering innocents or supporting people who slaughter innocents. You know that little 3 year old in the Muslim slum community near your society? Guess what : She didn't murder Atefah. Neither did her parents or her neighbours. The Muslims of India didn't kill Atefah. The entire population of Iran also didn't murder Atefah. A few corrupt leaders did. The people of Iran are as guilty of having such leaders as we Indians are of having a country that has the highest number of criminals in Parliament; that sexually abuses 50% of its children (and guess what the majority of the abusers' religion is?), that has the largest number of malnourished children on the planet . It's true. If you want to call India a predominantly Hindu nation, then it means that Hinduism is the largest child-molester and the largest child-murderer in the world. And Hinduism specializes in female child murdering.
Unless you choose to call the bluff and STOP associating every single thing with someone's religion.
Which would mean that Hinduism doesn't murder women, and neither does Islam.
Atefah isn't a victim of Islam; she's a victim of a corrupted judiciary and government that has hijacked Islam to make themselves all-powerful. If the people of India are not guilty for all of the atrocities happening in our country, because we don't have control over the matter, then the same rule applies universally. So, please watch yourselves : You had better not turn into the very monsters that you claim to be against.

Poem: Thoughts from a secular humanist
Re-posting this image and a transcript of the poem in it.
Thoughts from a secular humanist
I have no invisible authority
I am not mentally enslaved,
I am not an unworthy sinner
Who is waiting to be saved.
My actions are my own
Responsibility for which I take,
Credit for the good and penalty for the bad
The payment for my deeds only I can make.
I'm not the innocent, confused child
'Humble' messengers try to find,
I'm a skeptic with adult reasoning
Who has left Faith behind.
The answers gifted by logic and reason
Are far more appealing to me,
I keep searching for the still unknown
No fitting baseless assumptions dishonestly.
Morality for me is not dreived from an ancient book
With tiring tales of brutality and occasional verses of love,
To be good and to care for my fellow beings
I don't need promises of gifts from above.
The knowledge and wisdom accumulated by science
Sincere and provable, without disguise,
Is what I find more comforting and reality revealing
Than ones given by power-hungry cults fighting over lies.
I'm not someone who thinks women
Compared to their men, are any less,
When her right to say 'No' is violated
I don't blame it on her dress.
Her body is her own, her character not just her face
Rather than a world of fear and suppression,
They deserve a better place.
Things that others do without harming anyone or you
Are reason enough to make some disgusted or depressed
But when I come to know he loves another 'he',
I find myself hardly distressed.
It is better to judge people based on their actions
Not for 'what' they are,
Whether your genes played well or decided to change the rules
All of us are equal humans, who've managed to come this far.
I don't believe that the Universe was 'designed'
With a specific purpose, keeping and of us in mind,
A creator-free Universe is not uninteresting or colourless
But a lot more spectacular with added wonders to find.
Meaning is what we derive from the things that we strive
To achieve during our brief stay on this dot,
Knowing that none is bestowed with any special privileges
How many less battles would have been fought.
My love for this world and concern for its inhabitants
Is not restricted by any boundary line,
Whether you're from the West and I'm from the East
We're still on the same beautiful planet
So ought we not to get along fine?
I respect your right to believe what you want
I respect your right to choose,
But at times when what you believe and choose has a bearing on me
Don't expect me to keep shut or not refuse.
As you read these words, if you find yourself offended
And feel that you need to complain,
I hope you'll first pause for a second and try not to forget
How not being allowed to say it had once led our species
Into the Dark Ages of suffering and pain.

Proven : Co-operation is key to evolution, not survival of fittest
News: It has been scientifically proven that survival of the most co-operative, rather than of the fittest, is the key to evolution.

Please check out the link - there's a podcast as well as a video you can watch there which gives all the details. Here's the gist:
If you can connect the dots together fast enough, this development will blow you away. Everything we had accepted so far, will have to be questioned - the major institutions that rule the world today are suddenly exposed to be completely unnecessary to society.
This mathematically (and by now practically too) proven theory gives credible backing to the argument that existing systems of Capitalism, Game Theory, Communism, Big Government - are all flawed, as they assumed "survival of the fittest" was the most basic evolutionary rule, which inevitably led to selfishness.
Even Communism and now the Big Government systems that run major countries of the world today, assume that people aren't capable of co-operating on their own and so need a big-brother government to keep them from destroying themselves. They fool us into thinking that normal won't take care of the underprivileged, so they tax us and then leech it off for their own ends. Did you know that the Indian government
According to them, the concept of people voluntarily co-oerating with each other, loving and caring for one another, shouldn't exist. If their arguments were to be believed (as they unfortunately have so far), then there is just no explanation for the rise and rise of so many movements all across the world today that want to spread good without any selfish motive other than the practical realization that the only way their children will have a happy life is if everybody's children inherit a better world.
"Economists" (rather waste-onomists!) try to justify, and downplay, the existence of all the benevolent voluntary movements across the world as PR tactics, without even addressing the loophole that if their most basic logic (market economics > selfish motive as prime driver of all human activity) was really true, there would not be any Public around to sell the PR to!
Because of this chasm in logic, this conflict between reality and accepted theories, religious institutions had barged in and claimed that all the good stuff in the world arises from religiosity. There was already enough evidence of organized religious institutions and leaders abusing authority for their own ends in the name of religion, of stifling growth, of dividing people, but because of the claims that everything that is good in this world also comes from them, they were able to justify their existence as necessary and essential to civilization.
The scientific proof of co-operation being inherent in all living organisms exposes those claims and so defeats the monetary, the religious and the government institutions in one blow! If good for all is inherent in us all, if we know that any selfish society will self-destruct by natural inevitability and we have the scientific proof to back it, there is no need for having any competitive system, or any external incentives for good behavior or any big brother to watch over.
Rather, if we probe deep enough, it's evident that bad behavior exists today only because of external incentives that reward it - from genocidal governments to reckless traders to repressive religions to terrorists. To prevent terror, they make more terror, to prevent bankruptcy they create more debt, to prevent vice they end up committing more vice and the vicious cirlce widens. If we got rid of our assumptions and accepted co-operation as our natural state, we won't need the institutions that are causing the mess while fooling us all this time that they were protecting us - we don't need their protection as we don't have any enemies in a world where co-operation is key to evolution!
For the nice religious people, I did not target you; it turns out you were on the right path all along! Using this we can once and for all get rid of the extremist elements in your establishments by exposing their double standards. You won't need to follow made-up stories, rather the most basic principles of empathy, love, caring, are enough as they can be proven by simple logic and don't need elaborate setups like heaven and hell and God and Satan. This co-operation theory represents a path for unification of scientific thought and niceness - we will realize that one is the other and we can have both!

RSA Keynote
Everyone is familiar with Darwin's revolutionary idea about the survival of the fittest, and most people agree that it works - but Darwin's famous theory has one major chink. If life is about survival of the fittest, then why would we risk our own life to jump into a river to save a stranger?
Some people argue that issues such as charity, fairness, forgiveness and cooperation are evolutionary loose ends, side issues that are of little consequence. But as Harvard's celebrated evolutionary biologist Professor Martin Nowak explains - cooperation is central to the four-billion-year-old puzzle of life.
Cooperation is fundamental to how molecules in the primordial soup crossed the watershed that separates dead chemistry from biochemistry.
Cooperation is the key to understanding why language evolved, an event that is as significant as the evolution of the first primitive organism.
And it goes without saying that cooperation is the reason that people live in towns, villages and cities. Cooperation can even help to explain the spread of cancer cells and the role of punishment in society.
Join Martin Nowak and Roger Highfield at the RSA as they explore the five basic laws of cooperation - Kin Selection, Direct Reciprocity, Indirect Reciprocity, Network Reciprocity and Group Selection - in order to explain some of the most fundamental mechanics beneath everyday life.
If you can connect the dots together fast enough, this development will blow you away. Everything we had accepted so far, will have to be questioned - the major institutions that rule the world today are suddenly exposed to be completely unnecessary to society.

We stand at a crossroads today, witnessing the greatest technological advancements of all time, and yet at the risk of losing all we have built over the centuries. This selfimposed threat comes from rising unrest and chaos in our world. It is ironic that in an age considered more sophisticated than all the preceding world orders, we are simplistic enough to overlook what was given prime importance even in the ancient world — peace. And we are in grave danger of paying an unimaginable price for this neglect. No development can be sustainable in the lack of peace — be it peace without, or peace within. The scourge of war and social tension can take an indescribable toll on material and moral wealth. Strife is an impediment not only to the prosperity of nations, but also for the overall advancement of individuals. The very religions that were founded to bring us closer to peace are now being misused for just the opposite reasons. Terrorism has reared its ugly head and looms large over all modern nations. Communalism imperils the unity and integrity of each country, and insignificant issues are raked up and made the bone of contention between faiths. Racism encourages separatism and liberation movements, which are prolonged for years and involve unnecessary bloodshed. When a teenager shows more wisdom in thought than our experienced leaders do in action, we should sit up and take notice. Let's do away with the seniority concept in politics, because after all a 'seasoned politician' is just another loser, incapable of changing himself or the system.
It is indeed paradoxical that in this age of globalisation, when the world is nothing but a global village and information technology has made boundaries of state and nation a non-entity, we continue to restrict ourselves to barriers of nationality, caste, creed or race. The shackles of discord can only be broken if each and every one of us rises to the occasion and recognises, as John F Kennedy rightly said, that “mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind”. If there is to be peace on earth, it must begin within us. Religious and political leaders are at an immensely influential position to bring about world peace. The former can do so by highlighting the universality of each creed, the latter by merging nations into one complete family. Peace is a journey of a thousand miles, and it must be taken one step at a time. Let us begin with our own little step, and see what a world of difference that makes.
