4th phase of water : Dr.Gerard Pollock

4th phase of water : talk and research by Dr.Gerard Pollock

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-T7tCMUDXU

Opens up a whole lot of questions, thoughts, and possibilities about water, its connection with light, what role it plays in our bodies, and this might call for a fundamental re-learning of what water is, and (indirectly, as an outcome should you choose to apply it) offers a fresh perspective to relook at the traditional practices of holy water, therapies using water, etc.

Quoting excerpts from the second link:

nothing short of ground-breaking. The fourth phase of water is, in a nutshell, living water. It's referred to as EZ water—EZ standing for "exclusion zone"—which has a negative charge. This water can hold energy, much like a battery, and can deliver energy too.

"There's a famous website (www.lsbu.ac.uk/water/) put together by a British scientist, Martin Chaplin. Martin lists numerous anomalies associated with water," Dr. Pollack says. "In other words, things that shouldn't be according to what we know about water...

The more anomalies we have, the more we begin to think that maybe there's something fundamental about water that we really don't know. That's the core of what I'm trying to do. In our laboratory at the University of Washington, we've done many experiments over the last decade. These experiments have clearly shown the existence of this additional phase of water."

"We found that if we put a simple tube, like a straw, made of hydrophilic material, in water... there's water flow through the tube at high speed. This happens spontaneously. But it shouldn't happen spontaneously. The common idea is that if you want to drive fluid through a pipe or tube, you need to apply pressure. But we have no pressure here. There's no pressure difference between the input and output. But flow builds up spontaneously, and it keeps going.

Recently, we found that if we add light, the flow goes faster. It means that light has a particular effect; especially ultraviolet light, but other wavelengths as well. It speeds up the flow. We think that somehow the exclusion zones (EZs) are involved because inside those tubes, there's a little annular ring of exclusion zone, and inside that is an area full of protons... It seems that the exclusion zone and the pressure of these protons are driving the flow."

-----
From Charles Eisenstein's essay:

Let me emphasize that this is not a New Age book by someone of questionable scientific credentials. This is a book on chemistry, albeit one easily accessible to lay people. Pollack is a highly decorated professor at the University of Washington, author of numerous peer-reviewed papers, recipient of the 2012 Prigogine Medal, and editor of the academic journal Water. I mention this because in a field fraught with what some call pseudo-science, but what I'll politely call speculative inquiry unburdened by scientific rigor, paradigm-busting theories attract an inordinate degree of hostility.
...
One would think that after two hundred or more years of modern chemistry, something as fundamental and seemingly simple as water would be thoroughly understood by now. Before reading this book, I took for granted the explanations my high school and college textbooks offered for evaporation, capillary action, freezing, bubble formation, Brownian motion, and surface tension. Everyone else assumes the same thing, which may be why the conventional explanations are seldom scrutinized. However, as The Fourth Phase of Water demonstrates, a little creative scrutiny reveals severe deficiencies in conventional explanations.

-------

The website www.lsbu.ac.uk/water/ does a great job of listing all the ways water doesn't behave like a textbook liquid, and one would be amazed to see how this *cheating* of the laws governing most liquids by water makes life on this planet possible.

expressing a little about my recurring pattern in matters of love

I'm feeling angry at myself, and sad, for keeping on falling in love,
at various times, with a woman who it turns out will never want to
love me back, while completely ignoring that there is at least one
woman in my life at that time who would gladly love me back if I just
paid her a little more attention. I usually find out only much later,
when she has moved on.

The communication paradox

Sometimes it feels like I can get my point across to any person on
earth except the one person I really want to communicate to.

Please don't give up on love

A prayer for an anonymous friend..

Please don't give up on love yet. Let time pass, let the wounds heal.

Don't be so hard on yourself; don't go too much into the concept of
what happens on outside being reflection of inner defects only.. it's
all nice n spiritual n all but I think there can be times we take that
too far. We're only human, babaa, there's no need to witch-hunt each
and everything about ourselves. Heck, what characteristic has manifested
as a negative in your experience in relationship, might even have a
positive manifestation in another sphere of your life. By trying to eliminate
one, what if you end up degrading even what's good about you? We
might be better off seeking structures, being in environments that better
accommodate those characteristics of ours, that channel them
constructively.

You may have to analyze your patterns till now and change the way
you look for love. Girls with great looks do attract the worst-fitting
of the males around at first tries :P

Consider these..
  • Simplify your tastes (especially when it comes to consumerism),
  • Raise some bare-minimum ethical / health standards that had earlier been lowered in the interest of being progressive, non-judgemental, unconditional etc,
  • Introduce some grounding parameters, like alignment with causes you're passionate about, or integrity etc in worldly life too (yes, it does matter, our worldly and personal lives aren't completely separated. Extent u decide.),
  • Involve community in the search, let your close friends / folks whom you gel with, find and recommend someone, or ask them to help you evaluate someone you're considering.

But please don't give up on love. There will come a time when you'll be
ready for it again, and if you make room for it in your life, it will
be wonderful, something that will make all those trials and
tribulations worth it.

Let it slumber, but please, please don't give up on it. You deserve this. It
will happen, please let it when the time comes.

Wild Children – Domesticated Dreams: An Interview with Layla AbdelRahim

"Schools teach children the principles of death and of suffering. They
do not teach them the principles of life, which is diversity, which is
being out there in the world. They teach them within closed systems,
within closed buildings and walls, separated from the rest of the
world. They teach them that violence is legitimate when it is applied
from the top to the bottom and that it is illegitimate when it is
practised in resistance or defence of diversity and life.

Web-mapping Pune's Development Plans for better citizen engagement

Open invitation for Pune citizens: All the latest development plan (DP) maps (as released by PMC website.. ) have been pinned on to web map. Please go to this page:
..and use the dropdown or previous/next buttons just above the map to cycle through the development plans. Note that when you zoom in, the DP map will take time to load (use slider on right side to fade in or out the overlaid DP map), but it will load properly in about 10 seconds.

Here's something you can do that might help in bringing more transparency to this matter. At any point on the map, if you click, you get the exact latitude-longitude of the point. You can select and copy that (press Ctrl+C).

So, the wrong places, misallocations, deletions etc that were mentioned recent petitions.. please identify them, copy their exact lat-long points, and then write it out in the comments section at the bottom of the page, with lat-long (this is key!), so that it's publicly available, and then other people seeing the page can go to that location and check it out and give futher inputs. Also it would be great to just zoom in to your own neighbourhood, check out the DP map for your area and explore the various allocations etc.

Happy mapping!

Tip: You can post comments anonymously also, by checking on the "I'd rather post as a guest" option when you are typing your comment.

Addendum : What if instead of treating the DP as a black box and approving / rejecting the whole thing, we as citizens went about this a little more smartly? What if we could pin-point precisely what is wrong/suspect while also appreciating the work done by the DP creation team and pointing out what are good examples of wise planning? And what if we took it to the next level : what if citizens can make constructive suggestions to not just reject but fix the planning process? I don't know where this might lead, but hey, it's worth a shot :)

Simple is more mature

We attended a wonderful session on Sacred Capital last week, led by
Siddharth Sthalekar.

He shared how as he got to know more and more about how the money
system really works, his advice (as a reputed financial advisor) got
simpler and simpler. He offered this simple talisman-type thing:
If he/she seems like a nice person,
you like what they're doing,
and the world needs more of them,
then invest in them.

I felt myself connecting with this. I couldn't help but feel that this
applies to even other realms.

Over the past few years, in multiple interest fields, I'm converging
on similar thoughts : that keeping things simple is actually a sign of
wisdom and maturity, whereas making things overly complicated implies
immaturity, and is another example of the tricks the mind plays to
maintain its hegemony. Could it be that going complex only serves to
deviate us from the simplicity of reality?

So that brings me to one focus topic...

Ladies!

He's a nice guy.

You like what he does.

And the world needs more people like him.

Please. Forget all the other complications.
Just say yes!
:D :P

A nice poem and a not so nice critique

My critique for a very nice poem.. not so much for the poem itself but
the context in which it can be used:

> LOVE'S DEEPER COMMITMENT
>
> Let's not commit to a future together. The future is so unknown, and we are
> so fluid, and tired of pretending that we know.
>
> Our thoughts and feelings are ever-changing, uncontrollable, like a wild
> ocean of love.
>
> Our desires wax and wane; our dreams are born and die in every moment.
>
> Let's not commit to a form of love. The forms are always shifting, like the
> tides.
>
> We do not need security here. We are not seeking comfort, but Truth.
>
> Let's make a deeper commitment; one that cannot be broken or lost.
>
> To presence. To meeting in the here-and-now.
>
> To bringing all of ourselves. To knowing, and letting ourselves be known.
>
> To telling the truth, today; knowing that our truth may change tomorrow.
>
> To bowing before each other, even if our hearts are broken and tender.
>
> No promises, no guarantees.
>
> Loving takes courage! Yes!
>
> For love is a field, not a form. Let us commit to the field, remember the
> field in every moment of our precious days on this Earth.
>
> In ten years' time, we may still be together. We may have children. We may
> live together, or live apart.
>
> We may never see each other again. This may be our last day.
>
> If we are honest, we really do not know; not knowing is our Home.
>
> We may be friends, or lovers, or strangers, or family, or we may remain
> undefined, beyond narrative, our love unable to be captured in words.
>
> Here at the edge of the known, on the line that once divided sanity from
> madness, and doubt from certainty, we play, we dance, we drink tea, we
> touch each other, we cry, we laugh, we meet.
>
> We sacrifice comfort and predictability. But what we gain is astonishing:
> This tremendous sense of being alive. No longer numb to the mysteries of
> love, the mysteries of our bodies.
>
> A little raw, perhaps. A little shaky. Maybe a little disoriented, but
> perhaps this is the price of being totally free.
>
> Maybe an old part of us still seeks mommy or daddy, that Magic Person who
> will never leave, always be there, take away the loneliness repressed in
> our guts. Loving that frightened part too; bowing to that part too, but no
> longer being controlled by it.
>
> And they will ask:
> What about your future?
> What happens if you have children?
> How the hell do you define yourselves?
> Why are you afraid of commitment?
> Why do you run from security? Comfort? Future?
>
> They will say you are crazy, or you don't understand love, or you are lost,
> or you are unloving and selfish, and you will smile, and understand their
> fear, for their fear was once yours, and you cannot abandon your path now.
>
> And nobody has to walk with you. Ever.
>
> At some point, only Truth will satisfy. A living Truth, renewing itself
> each and every moment, the wild Truth of the open heart.
>
> When Love and Truth are One, when the Commitment is deeply rooted in the
> breath, we can finally face each other without resentment, and explode into
> the most melancholy sunsets, held in the most profound joy.
>
> Walking alone, together, alone

[Allright so here it comes! But first, think about this : Who is this poem for?]

It's wonderful.

But I've seen something relatively more wonderful in the companionship
rooted not in fear as this poem tries to ascribe, but in a tacit
acceptance that if it really makes no difference if there is
attraction or not, then might as well be there for each other, in a
grounded sense which honors head, heart and body. And that strategy
accounts in the difference in time: I may feel more attracted to you
this week and you may feel more attracted to me during a week next
month. Or, I might feel physically attracted to you while you feel
intellectually attracted at this time. By being abundantly there for
the other, both's needs are met even if there is a slight mismatch in
the "now".

I think the fourth dimension of time is important; and we can extend
our caring, our love over this dimension rather than restricting it
only to the three dimensions of space and neglecting time. It's great
to make a big deal about being present and in-the-now, but can we
check if we're not just doing that to run away from honoring the
fourth dimension?

And can we balance things? Why not be both present and keep that
presence finely weaved in with the past and the future? Too much
planning may be bad, but not all planning is bad. Being in-the-now may
be good, but being absolutely that only could cause trouble to you and
others whose life you're part of. It's unfair to disrupt the "now" of
others around you to make way for just your "now". Can there be a
middle path between these extremes?

This poem seems engineered to associate any actual committment with
only one feeling of fear whereas reality begs more, and the lack of
committment with only all sorts of positive things while conveniently
omitting the negatives. We can similarly use all manner of nice
wordings to associate the lack of committment with fear, scarcity and
greed (for better deals coming by that one would want to swtich to at
a moment's notice), and committment with abundance, with being alive. It's up to us which stories to weave : if one is fair then so is the other.

After all, if we're comfortable being together as well as alone, then
why not do precisely that instead of going around looking for
entanglements with other people, which seems to be the implicit thing
we're trying to enable here? Wouldn't that be indicative of a scarcity
at our end : that we need getting entangled over being in solitude?
Why not keep things simple instead of trying to justify increasing
levels of complexity with more complex narratives?

Who says it's not possible to feel alive while in a thriving committed relationship? On the contrary, there's far greater chances of that sense lasting longer and not quickly disappearing as quickly as it came.

Ultimately I'd love to see how it gets implemented in real life. For
instance, in our circles we know a couple that renegotiates and renews
their committment after a certain period of time (every month or every
year I don't know), agreeing that if anyone thinks its not working
out, simply not renewing means they're free to walk away. But during
that time period between renewals they are together and are there for
each other even if one feels less attracted. So being-in-the-present
is implemented over the long run, but the quantum of time (what we
call as "now") isn't as short as a second or a day.

Coming back to the poem, on a practical level it seems most
advantageous to people who already have something else going on and
want to keep things loose but want to not feel bad about not having
the abundance within to let the other person go and find a more
wholesome way of being. If I want to have a secret affair while being
in a steady relationship and keep lying to my main relationship-partner,
then a good way to keep my affair-partner under my control and
on my team will be to give her this poem.
I then get to feel "in-the-present" and
enlightened and soulfull and all, while planning all my timings
smartly and lying wholescale to one partner. While I agree with the
poem's declared intent and know there are many different ways of
fulfilling it, I'm going to acknowledge its potential of being
repurposed as a very convenient affair-enabler. And anyone who
questions that, can simply be judged away as a judgemental person
since the poem, like the bible and other such texts, has already built
in verses to define itself as unquestionable.

My advice to the affair-partner would be this : Stress on the
importance of being honest with all stakeholders and not being
meticulously planning and lying to anyone (if you're open and
in-the-now, then what's there to lie about? If you have to lie your
way through, are you really being present and in-the-now?), and then
maybe this poem won't get used in the way I have alleged. And if you
don't want to do that, then please be comfortable with the reality as
it is and don't make claims about things being oh-so-wonderful and
enlightened just to fool yourself.

Lookup: A great international experiment in redifining love and
restoring the sacred in relationships while acknowleding and honoring
polygamousness where it is, by doing away with the deception game and keeping things honest: http://www.tamera.org

Addendum :
A little context to explain how this critique came about... check out this basic personal-life profile of a friend of mine who shared this poem with me : she's sleeping with someone who has another person in his life as his girlfriend, and she insists its not really a relationship. And she is intellectually in a relationship with someone (hey, I don't get it at all but that's what it is for her) who is about to get married. Both these men in her life, quite some years her senior, are people she values very highly as brilliant intellectuals; is fascinated by.

The fact that those guys are comfortable with keeping the significant women in their lives in the dark and still keeping them and my friend and God knows some more in their life in mutually isolated boxes, have no intention of changing the official status and are happy to plan things efficiently to ensure smooth operations... that they don't have the abundance within to just let this girl go and help her find something more wholesome for herself.. doesn't really hold relevance in my friend's evaluations.

What might be the situation on those females' ends who my friend knows are being kept in the dark (nevermind the inconvenient little detail that this amounts to a form of emotional abuse and that no one likes being lied to).. they're much older than my friend is and I don't think they've figured at all in her realm of consciousness. How about some unconditional love and Truth for them also? Or wait, is that only applicable to the people doing the lying and not to the people being lied to? How will she feel when in their position, at an older age, not much other options left, needing companionship and security much more than an early tweener? How would she feel if she gets to be the one kept in the dark? Well, theoretically they'll stay happy if they never find out but when they do, it's magically supposed to be their problem and will probably be chalked up to their inability to be like what is dictated by the poem, with no consideration for the real life circumstances.

So there you have it : What the original oh-so-beautiful concept is, and one example of how it gets implemented in real life. Still looking so nice? Or are things getting messy?

And in all this, somewhere I'm feeling that my friend isn't being genuine with herself; I feel like she's cageing her heart and letting her brain only call the shots, going for the short term pleasures and interpreting them as proof that things are good.. "a tremendous sense of being alive". And I worry that the associated loss of dignity, integrity and empathy can and will spill over to other realms of her life too. So the poem and things like it, I'm seeing, are a very convenient responsibility avoidance (and reality avoidance!) tool, especially for those at the benefiting ends, to keep the status quo going and use impressive language to make things look a lot fancier and nobler and fairer than they actually are.

In case you're not getting where I'm seeing the problem or are feeling I've been too judgemental, please consider this analogy: Let's invent several layers of reasonings to make one's habit of compulsively and excessively eating junk food look like it's a very healthy and noble thing to do; pretend that by doing so you're really being true to yourself, proof given by the short-term sensual pleasures you get from it and "feeling alive" while you willfully ignore any long term consequences because you're only living in the now. Make all sorts of complicated justifications and beautifications instead of just admitting and being comfortable with the simple fact that you're just indulging yourself for now. See, I don't think the indulgence is wrong. A little indulgence could be great, I'm all for it. My problem is with creating the artificial constructs to justify and propagate it beyond its natural time instead of letting it be just what it is : an indulgence. Maybe because that would bring about a sense of responsibility to end the binge and get real at some point?

Heck, in all likeliness, the present scenario is a reaction to the ruthless suppression of indulgences so far, and the over-burdening of committment on people in a hypocritical way. But we don't need to swing all the way to the extremes. I believe we have it within ourselves to find a middle path.

And do check out Tamera : If you really want to keep the polygamous nature then it's possible to go about it in a totally different and much more sustainable way.

PS: To clarify finally, I am in agreement with most of the poem itself. My critique is regarding its ham-handed application to real life that I'm seeing around me and the misery that's causing, and its use as justification for things that we'd rather not have more of in our world.

Trip for students by Academy for Earth Sustainability

From my friend Aditya:

Last month, 40 of our students spent a week with the Academy for Earth
Sustainability <http://www.aeslife.in/>, for their Eco-Embark program.
Located on a farm in Karjat, Maharashtra, the program introduced children
to sustainable living, diving into critical issues around and solutions for
food, water, waste, and energy.

I am an educator and a difficult one. I am a thorough planner and i always
expect that from people who work with children. I am writing to all of you,
because that's what I found extraordinary about the program of AES. They
were heartful and soulful and skillful in their way of dealing with
children and their understanding about sustainability!

They were wonderfully communicative about the program design and it was so
beautifully custom made for us! :D It was not just do-do-do-do but it was
about reflecting emotionally and intellectually! :)

If any of you parents, educators are looking for something heartful and
valuable for your children, I recommend this. You can get in touch with me
to know my experience on <comment below>. I work in Hyderabad and I took
children all the way from here and it was worth all the effort :).

If someone wants to know more they can directly contact Chandan Mulherkar
at [..] chandan [at] aeslife.in .

This is NOT an advertisement. This is an honest sharing for I want more
children / adults to meet these inspiring people, who care so much about
the Earth and are doing something about it :)
Love,
Aditya

Great-boxing

Heres a thought thats coming up for me this morning. Its a bit controversial, so apologies if offense caused :

If there is a wonderful person in my life whom i respect highly for some wonderful traits in their personality, if i put him/her up on a pedestal and praise and idolize them, then i don't really have an inclination to implement those good practices in my own life. Because thats only something that "great people" can do.

But on the other hand if I see that person as another person who's not very different from me, then it becomes my responsibility to also implement those good traits in my own life. I cannot excuse myself saying that only great people can do that.

I wonder if that is one reason why we make mahatmas and bhagwans out of our best humans : so that we can escape from the responsibility of emulating those good traits? I know there are other reasons also, but I want to provoke these questions:

What are good traits in my idols that i am refusing to inculcate by boxing them into the great-box and saying i can't be like that?

Is my refusal to do so, then leading to problems in my life that those idols don't have?

Am I then claiming that I have too many problems so I cannot be great like those people? Isn't that then an implicit accusation that those people I respect have it easy and aren't really so great after all? So doesn't this policy (of great-boxing people) become self-contradictory and self-defeating?

Breaking out of that cycle, would my respect for that great person be higher and more authentic if I considered him/her as another human being like myself?

Story: the 99 Club

Story: (shared over whatsapp)

Once upon a time, there lived a King who, despite his luxurious lifestyle, was not happy at all.
One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he worked. This fascinated the King; Why was he, the Supreme Ruler of the Land, unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much joy?

The King asked the servant, 'Why are you so happy?'

The man replied, 'Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but my family and I don't need too much - just a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummies.'

The king sought the advice of his most trusted advisor. After hearing the story, the advisor said, 'Your Majesty, the servant has not yet joined "The 99 Club".'

'The 99 Club? And what is that?' the King inquired.

The advisor replied, 'To truly know what The 99 Club is, just place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant's doorstep.'

When the servant saw the bag, he let out a great shout of joy... so many gold coins. He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced that there were only 99 coins.

He wondered, 'What could've happened to that last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!'

He looked everywhere, but that final coin was elusive. Finally he decided that he was going to work harder than ever to earn that 100th gold coin.

From that day, the servant was a changed man. He was overworked, grumpy, and blamed his family for not helping him make that 100th gold coin.

And he had stopped singing while he worked.

Witnessing this drastic transformation, the King was puzzled. The advisor said, 'Your Majesty, the servant has now officially joined The 99 Club.'
He continued, 'The 99 Club is a name given to those people who have enough to be happy but are never content, because they're always wanting that extra 1, saying to themselves:
"Let me get that one final thing and then I will be happy for life."

We can be happy with very little in our lives, but the minute we're given something bigger and better, we want more ...and even more! We lose our sleep, our happiness, as the price for our growing needs and desires.

Beauty of the Mosaic by Rosalina Chai

I loved listening to this at last week's Awakin Circle:

Beauty of the Mosaic
-by Rosalina Chai

For as long as I recall having memory, I've found mosaic incredibly
mesmerising. Alongside the increasing presence of grey hair on my head
grew my awareness of how aptly the mosaic can serve as a metaphor for
perceiving and understanding the human condition.

Mosaic is at once intricate yet majestic. And it is precisely its
brokeness that lends mosaic its perception of fragile beauty - the
space between the tiles is as much an intricate part of its language
of beauty as the mosaic tile itself. And isn't this true too of our
humanity?

Whilst there are numerous titles out there extolling the necessity,
power and beauty of our essential brokenness, more often that not, our
daily interactions with our fellow human beings appears to be
motivated by unconscious "should-ism" that demands perfection of one
another. What is it about brokenness that we find so offensive?

What would happen when we accept and embrace that being broken is an
essential part of humanity's be-ing? What would happen when we cease
to label brokenness as bad? What would it take for us to cease
labelling brokenness as bad? I can imagine one certainty ... more
peace.

Accepting and embracing brokenness is not the same as using another's
brokenness to feel better about ourselves. Rather, it is an
acknowledgment of our common humanity. When I accept my own
brokenness, and do not judge myself harshly because of it, I find
myself capable of more compassion towards others regardless of whether
I am aware of the form of brokenness they've experienced.

Finally, it is the coming together of many many many mosaic tiles that
the meaning of its language of beauty is expressed. We were not meant
to be alone in our brokenness. We were meant to come together, so that
another form of beauty may be birthed through the collective.

I would like to leave you with this story.

At the beginning and end of time, Truth was a beautiful glowing orb.
One day, the orb was shattered into shards that outnumbered the stars
in the universe by one to infinity. These shards became souls. Thus it
is that each soul represented one part of Truth. But Life intervened,
and many souls believed that they were Truth, and so Hatred was bred.
But some souls held onto the memory, and attempted to remind the souls
who've forgotten.

I do not know the end of the story as it is yet to be written. But I
do know that when all the souls are reunited, the space between the
shards would be where the light shines through. And that Truth's
beauty would then take another form.

Article on a teenager murdered and then accused

You need to read this. Hopefully with some empathy and without rhetorical explaining away.
http://thewire.in/2016/03/02/the-second-killing-of-ishrat-jahan-23407/

And try to understand the consequences of continuing the hatred that makes things like these happen. We can't keep on chalking up everything to the Mughals, at some point we need to take responsibility and start behaving better than the Mughals did.

Psychological chilling effect of using "negative", "dark" words in physics

I think there's been a subconscious teaching of negativity surrounding the electron. There was really no reason for physics to assign "negative" and "positive" charges on protons, electrons, etc. They're simply opposites of each other like magnetic dipoles. Electrical flow is mostly electrons; the exchange agents in chemical reactions are mostly electrons. The protons don't move around. So we should have seen them as a manifestation of energy instead of just "negative" charges.

To top it off, what are "positive" charges? They're a LACK of electrons! So we're conferring an aura of positivity / approval to an entity that's lacking something. You can't have positive charges moving anywhere. It's actually electrons moving in the opposite direction. This had made the study of physics syllabus so god damn complicated post-10th grade, in the education I got. It got very confusing as most of us students were looking at it from a maths +/- perspective only for most of the time.

Current flows from positive to negative, they said. But it was electrons jumping in the other direction! And they created this whole imaginary entity that was simultaneously mysteriously present at the same place, going in the opposite direction, just to justify the positive-negative metaphor. In all our formulas and equations, we had current. I suspect that it was made up this way for the simple and banal reason to avoid telling the kids that something NEGATIVE is travelling from here to there and bringing energy. And after imbibing that all though our syllabus, we then come to the idea that there might not actually be any real physical movement happening, that it might be just energy waves. And I'm still confused about it.

That made even the understanding of AC (Alternating Current) totally confusing.. actually I'm quite sure most of my classmates are still confused about it; even I am.
Because we had the direction of current from positive to negative, we keep getting stumped by the idea that 100 times a second (if 50Hz frequency), this current is changing directions, going backwards, then forwards. And then they tell us the AC is being transported from the generator over transmission lines to the home. But what the heck : you just told me it's going back and forth 100 times a second. Then how can one be transporting it? Shouldn't the whole thing be just vibrating or buzzing?

But instead of saying that it goes positive-negative, if we had simply tilted our heads by 90 degrees and seen AC as constantly swinging left and right while still moving forward like some drunk driver, then think how much easier the concept of Alternative Current would have been to explain!

If you're thinking this is taking it way too far, let me ask you this:
We have already fixated the capitalism-socialism (or communism) divide with right-left analogy. It's the same bi-polar situation as in case of electrons-protons or north-south magnetic poles. Two things, mutually opposite to each other. With the obvious difference from physics in that they don't attract each other, thought I'll re-interpret to posit that they do attract.. attacks and criticism.. from each other, and in many ways one needs the other in order to justify their own existence :P

Now consider what would have happened if instead of the terms "right" or "left", capitalism and socialism would have been assigned, "positive" or "negative". Imagine asking a politician to describe whether his views veer towards the positive or towards the negative.

Do you get what I'm saying now?

It's the same bi-poles. Yet look at the difference when you change the terminology.

Even with the right-left analogy, we have a serious problem : the monopolization of possibilities. A political worldview has evolved that says that things can only be right or left; or they can have bits and pieces of both and be center; that anything that is remarkably different from the traditional right or left cannot possibly exist. That's a very blinders-on view of the world and extremely dangerous in my opinion, precisely because it locks us into a duopoly, and one who controls the top-level decision makers in both left and right bastions, hence can control all of politics and attain monopoly.

North-south (magnetism). Positive-negative (electricity). Left-right (politics). All examples of binary / bipolar entites, and in varying degrees, negativity and positivity has been accorded to all. Creating a false divide between the bi-poles while ignoring that they're actually all complimentary; one needs the other and both work together.

So let's apply things in reverse. Consider how would things be if we taught the concept of electrics without ever saying that electrons are negative and protons are positive. Replace the whole framework with a more friendly pair of opposites. Sita-Gita? Ram-Shyam? (I'll avoid left-right because that's kinf of monopolized presently by politics). Kanju-Panju? Or maybe just ditching it all and saying simply that electrons flow and that is current; it's not going in the opposite direction. Which means flipping all circuit diagrams backwards.. or should I say, forwards!

Could we see physics textbooks, lesson plans, learning materials in the future that represent electricity without saying that the electron is negative?

=======

That also brings us to Dark Energy / Dark Matter.
And here we're going into not-adequately-explored grounds, mind. So, controversies alert.

It's been accepted by now that a large portion of the universe is composed of something that isn't being detected directly by western technological / instruments, yet its effect is being felt.

They termed it as Dark energy, Dark matter. Because their instruments couldn't detect it.

"It turns out that roughly 68% of the Universe is dark energy. Dark matter makes up about 27%. The rest - everything on Earth, everything ever observed with all of our instruments, all normal matter - adds up to less than 5% of the Universe."

And for some reason, there's been an externalization of the whole dark matter/energy thing : there seems to be a tacit unwritten assumption that even if 95% of all reality is acknowledged to be this "dark" stuff, it's probbably non-existent here on Earth. It's likely only out there, in distant constellations and galaxies. We don't have any of that stuff around us, no! Somehow there's an assumption that Earth is an exception from the rest of the universe : that 95% of its composition might be this "dark" stuff we can't detect, but here on planet Earth, and maybe even this solar system, there's 0% dark stuff, and 100% of whatever's there is completely detectable by our instruments, "non-dark" stuff. There 95%. But here, 0%! Where's the boundary zone? No mention of that.

Well, there's other things the instruments haven't been able to detect. And their technology's failings has been used by them (the scientific mainstream) as an excuse to refute the existence of what they're failing to detect.
The ability of water to hold properties after extreme dilution. The 4th state of water.
Qi / Chi energy used by Chinese monks for healing, but there's at least one video I've seen convincingly showing it capable of setting things on fire, passing currents through the body that can be felt but that don't register on a standard electric measurement device.
Pranic energy, pranic healing here in India.
Orgone energy, crystals.
Pyramid power.
Cold electricity, being reported by people experimenting with zero-point energy or free energy, which while capable of lighting up electic lights or running motors, is extremely different from regular "hot" electricity. Because it doesn't heat up the wires it's passing through, and people are being able to grab live wires carrying it with their hands without getting electrocuted.
[crossing over]
Belief and trust induced healing, growing of plants.
People's movements where without any real central structure or source material that everyone would have looked that, the same ideas spontaneously spring up in many minds at once.
Different colors of sunlight stored in water leading to different medicinal properties of the water.
The fourth state of water (look up the tedx talk on it!)

So on the one hand there's an admission that our instruments can't measure 95% of reality, while at the same time, there is a vehement opposition to acknowledging even the possibility of existence of the stuff I mentioned above. And mind, they don't even try to follow the scientific method of honest replication attempts with full communication with the original inventors first. "If our physics formulas and our technology based on those formulas doesn't account for it, then it doesn't exist." Even many of the parameters of standard-issue testing are incompatible with the core nature of some of these, making them impossible to prove in a lab full of skeptics. (like, for example, the need for love and trust between people when connecting telepathically, and the nature of it manifesting only in real circumstances when the situation calls for it, and not in artificially created controlled experiments)

Anyways, I don't want to go into whether these things are there or not. There's something before that, that is affecting the way we treat it.

The word "dark".

In one fell swoop, everything that's surprising, dazzling and amazing about reality, which breaks all known conventions and limitations, is now branded as "dark".
When they say 95% of reality is composed of dark energy or matter, we subconsciously get scared of it. Dark energy sounds like it is something to be afraid of. Oh no, now the science guys are going to have to defend us against yet another dark foe. Dark things : if we look for them, we're going to be looking out for dark effects. Negative effects. It's going to cause some problem in some way. Maybe that's what's causing so much pollution and taking us to disaster. All that dark stuff that our heroic science cannot detect. We're basically implying that 95% of the stuff out there is evil and wants to kill us.

I'm very inclined to think now, after having seen various inputs, that a lot of the "miracle" things we're observing which aren't being explained by orthodox materialistic scientific paradigm, are in some way coming from this "Dark" energy/matter complex that supposedly makes up majority of all reality.

What if what we're alluding to as "Dark" is actually "Light", or positive, good, lovely, nice stuff?

What if pranic/orgone energy that is being used to heal and purify and transformed harmful into beneficial, is coming from that "dark energy" that, as per the scientific status quo, encompasses our universe?

Now one knee-jerk response is : "But dark energy is supposed to be undetectable! How can you say alternative energy based healing is a manifestation of it?"
>> Great, thank you for acknowledging that alternative energy based healing exists and works (Gotcha!). The definition you quoted is YOUR definition, not mine. I do not agree with the western orthodox materialistic paradigm's assumption that dark energy shall forever and forever remain undetectable only. I think it makes more sense in noticing that these people are not wanting to acknowledge the existence of many things that do exist, so what they say is undetectable might logically reside in what they're deliberately overlooking. Elementary, my dear Watson. You can't find it because you're deliberately avoiding it.

Ok, back to...
What if (sorry for the sacrilege my materialistic friends) dark energy / dark matter actually has an inherent positive bias or positive nature to it?

Assigning a negatively biased "Dark" term severely limits most from even starting to ponder in this direction.
It has a chilling effect.
It prevents people from exploring further.

So screw these people who first claim neutrality and then deliberately assign negative terms to things they don't want explored any further. Let's destroy their motives by doing what they do not want us to do : explore the as-yet unexplained further.

A video for further explorations : Rupert Sheldrake's extended Science Set Free talk (2.5 hrs) where he gives a fantastic critique of the assumptions that led to the theories of dark energy/matter.

Is planning ahead being logical or being caring?

Soundbite!

I'm really appreciating the ability of mothers to extend their emotion of caring across the 4th dimension of time. If guys try to do that then they get accused of being too logical.

Why we have more Y guys, and how we can have more X guys

Statutory Warning: This article is bat-shit crazy and blunt as hell (after a long time am pissed off enough to write one!), and contains sexual references. Viewer discretion is advised. If you’re a teenager / young adult then you’re probably going to want to read this even more now, so by all means proceed.

Note: Apologies for not explicitly including third genders in this article. I simply do not have any werewithall to handle it. And this is a crazy article anyways. Please adjust and do internal find+replace.

This is addressed to women of my generation, and the ones following. And specially to the female teenagers who officially aren’t supposed to be reading this, but what the heck, better catch them early.

Ladies, I want you to do one experiment. Take a paper (has it ever struck you why does everybody always ask for a piece of paper as if it’s cake?). If you’d call yourself more experienced in matters of love, take a big/long paper.

Make two columns with the headers : X guys, Y guys (after some thoughts, removed other words that may have biased the experiment. Initially. :P)

By “X” I mean... Men you have met whom you could rely on, trust safely, talk to as a friend, share what’s in your heart and know that he won’t judge you or use it against you. Who are in general nice to you and nice to others and have an ability to think and care about others.

You must be recalling some names already.. Oh, wait, one more criterion. You need to have slept with them (as in: you have had sex with this kind of person) at least once. Relationship or not? Not really a concern for the purposes of this experiment. Note: it’s possible that the last filter ended up giving you a zero result. That’s ok.. it's part of the experiment. Proceed.

Next, the Y Guys. I’ll keep this simple. Everyone whom you’ve slept with who couldn’t make it to the X guys list. For whatever reason. And I’m not even going into personal likes/dislikes etc here. You keep that to yourself. Just follow the experiment’s parameters as given above.

Be honest with this, ok? This is a personal experiment.. I don’t want you to share this with me or anyone. It’s only for you. If you try to fudge things here, you’ll only be misleading yourself.

So let’s make the list. Come back to this when done.

Ok, so now for the counting. What are the counts of both columns?

If I’m understanding our world right, I believe that the Y guys column will have a higher count than the X guys column. If your case is the opposite, you know that you’re a rare one. And now forget the numbers and get rid of this paper, only remember that Y > X and remember what X stood for.

So let’s think about this. Now I know that there are as many explanations as there were names on that list, each one being a completely valid one. No objections to that.

But let’s take a step back from individual case histories and look at these counts statistically and do a (cringe!) outcomes assessment. Consider the possibility that most women like yourself have a similar Y>X outcome. And so if one ever compiled these results together across a broad sample, the outcome will remain Y>X. Now see this from the perspective of the men.

Whatever the intermediate thoughts, feelings, opinions etc, we have created a world where Y>X. Where guys who are guys that you can put your trust in, simply don’t get (here it comes) laid as often as the Y guys.

I’ll go cross-disciplinary here. I firmly believe that there is not a 100% separation between people’s personal and worldly lives. If you feel that the two are absolutely distinct, then this article has no meaning for you. But if you agree with me, then read along.

With that in mind, would you prefer it if there were more X guys in this world than Y guys? Would you want to spend your ageing years with an X guy or a Y guy, or my-my, alone? My guess is you would prefer it if there were more X guys than Y guys in this world. While not all Y guys are necessarily causing problems in this world, I see the same views towards entire communities and countries that some typical Y guys have towards women. I can’t help but notice that there is a connection. Those that are causing problems, are by my estimate more likely to be Y guys than X guys. But that’s a question for another experiment.

I’m still not sure what position sex holds in the esteem rankings for women, but I can tell you for sure that for men, sex is extremely important.

If a trend is established (and news flash, it already is) that the Y guys have a much higher chance of getting to have sex than the X guys, that forms a direct influencing factor for any young man when during the course of his life he has to decide between being an X guy or a Y guy.

And in case you’re thinking that when you get older you’ll settle with an X guy, I’d like to inform you that with the kind of pressure set up, there are very little chances many of them will remain as X guys till that time. Most will convert to Y... believe me, if you were in their place, so would you.

I can tell you about the odds stacked against the X guy. Y guys are given the “neutrality” card to do whatever they want, but X guys will get over-judged at every step. X guys are first to get boxed into the friend zone. (when you were making your list, how many guys did you think of and then have to filter out?). Of course, there’s also the positive side that when a woman does end up notching an X guy, she stays with him, she doesn’t move on to another guy any time soon. Whereas in the same time period another woman may have to work her way through several Y guys while complaining about them to the friend-zoned X guy in her life.

But in any case, we have a final outcome now of there being more Y guys in our world than X guys, I keep on hearing all kinds of women complain about the scarcity they’re facing, and I believe at least one strong influencing factor behind all this is that especially in the young adult years, X guys are simply not getting as much sex as the Y guys, for simple practical needs they’re converting over to the dark side and X numbers are on the decline.

So Ladies, I have an Impossible Mission for you, should you choose to accept it.

I don’t know what roundabout ways the thinking, the preferences etc flows on your end. But as an experiment, for any time period of your choosing, try to bang more X guys, and more often, than Y guys.

Tips & Tricks :
Want to avoid "complicating things" with the X guys you've already friend-zoned?
>> I'll offer you a simple a solution : X-guy exchange : pair with a female friend, and bang each other's X guys. There, it's with a stranger so no "complication" and you can feel adventurous, and you've fulfilled the terms of the experiment. All sides happy!

Side critique : "I want to avoid complicating things, so I'm going to keep a man whom I value highly and who cares for me, deprived, while freely giving the gift of sexual intercourse whenever I get in the mood or whenever they pester me long enough, to other men crossing my path whom I don't even know well enough or value highly at all. Because I am totally in control of my life, my body is my temple, I have high standards and I love myself." -- Great thinking, Genius.

===============

Addendum: Answering some Frequently Expressed Reservations:

1. "I really don't want to lose him as my friend..."
Stop fretting about not wanting to lose such a nice friend. Don’t worry, you won’t lose him as a friend.. he’s an X guy, remember? And for God’s sake don’t say you don’t want to get intimate with him because you don’t want to break his heart later. That’s the most warped logic I’ve come across. Why? Elementary, my dear Watson, for the simple reason that he’s going to be even more heart-broken if you friend-zone him! “Oh, I don’t want to break your heart so I’ll slowly bleed it to death instead”. That is soo short-sighted. Don’t worry. He’ll handle it, things may get awkward for sometime (and if you feel more troubled on your end, then seriously ask yourself, what if I also want him as more than a friend?) but you'll get back to your friendship again. Better banged once and politely let go (which you can do safely with an X guy) than never banged at all.

2. "I don't think I can handle a full fledged relationship at this point in my life..."
Helloo-o? Haven't I already made it clear that this article isn't asking anything like from you? Come again, you're worried about what the X guy will want?

Ok, ladies, here's a little secret : Every X guy you know is fully capable of being a Y guy for just a night. (But not the other way around. Because X is the source state and Y is a derivation. It's mathematical.. just take it and go along, ok) After all, how do you think men manage to weave together fantasies and masturbate?? (and another news flash : masturbation is probably the one thing X guys do more often than Y guys. Again, simple maths. Not getting laid? Masturbate. Guy's gotta live, dude.) He gets into the whole relationship angle by the time he plucks the courage to approach you, not just because it holds the promise of a wonderful life ahead (who wouldn't want a combo package of close friend and lover?), but also because he has assumed that's what you want as a compulsory precondition to having sex. He is attracted to you emotionally, intellectually and all, yes, fine, but physically as well, don't forget that crucial part. Otherwise he would have friend-zoned you by now.

If the compulsory precondition (ie, we should be in a full fledged relationship only then can we have sex) is not the case for you at this point of time in your life (note: let's not take any judgemental stance here, ok? We're all in that state every now and then, even during a long term relationship), then that's new information that you'll have to convey to him.. he does not have the telepathy to pick it up. (Because he thinks highly of you, because he respects you, and there is a prevailing social stigma around this, he hasn't considered this possibility yet. Not that's it's a bad thing, just that it hasn't been considered. Comprende?).

So the next time you want to turn down your X-guy friend who's been through hell and finally risked the friendship to ask you out, rather than reverting to the (dreaded!) "can we just be friends" response, as part of this experiment, please modify your response to : "I'm just not ready for a full fledged relationship at this point in my life. But I AM open to something just physical, if you promise complete secrecy! If you can promise to keep things just physical, not make things awkward and we remain friends, then how about it?"

Look at the flip side, from the X guy's perspective. He sees you turn his proposal down, without considering even one date where he could show you his romantic and mysterious side, and lock you forever into the friend zone. And then he sees you go sleep with a person who shouldn't have even been on your radar. And he realizes (after you're done) that you were not serious about him, you were just fulfilling your physical intimacy needs. But you did so by taking on a whole lot of risks upon yourself by banging a total stranger, like possibly getting infected with an STD, potential harassment in future, abuse, social defamation, whatever. And drastically lowered your standards too, which otherwise had been ostensibly sky-high when the X guy was asking you out. So the obvious question that arises in any sane man's mind is, "If she only wanted sex, then why didn't she just do it with me? She knew I'm attracted to her, and I wouldn't ever hurt her or harass her, I'm right here God dammit!"

Ladies, X guys convert to Y guys after they see enough instances of this, and something dies inside them and they conclude that this is just how all women are.

3. There has to be some mystery, unknown, darkness, thrill..
Valid. I'll admit, this is the most difficult one for me to tackle. But let's challenge the underlying assumption here : who says X guys are devoid of mystery / thrill? You probably only know some aspects of the man you think you know already. You do not need to physically put yourself at risk just to feel risky.. it's in the mind, and can be stimulated as per need. You can meet a person you know like a stranger, no need to actually get with a complete stranger. If he cares for others and has the balls to stand up for others then is that not thrilling or dangerous? And where is the thrill in not having ethical standards and being a coward? Any idiot can do that. Plus, have you even bothered looking around at all the negative outcomes, at the faces of the women who ended up with a seriously bad apple? Have you ever asked them if in hindsight did they think it was worth it, or would they have enjoyed life a lot more with a slightly different way of wanting mystery? Hence the impossible mission proposed : it's an experiment; a totally new thing, we have no idea how things might turn out, we're totally stepping into the unknown. Women who have gotten the choice, have been banging the same kinds of Y guys (with seriously the exact same moves, same lines, same strategies) since over a generation now. It might have been novel at some point but by now this is all old stuff. Go on, try something new for a change!

4: "I have had it with relationships and would rather be single from now on":
Not to be impolite.. oh heck, let me be impolite : I'm sorry dear, but..

1. if you chose to get screwed over by an assortment of Y guys,
2. all the time never bothering to give any X guy a real chance because of not feeling "drawn" enough towards any of them,
3. while not learning anything from the fact that you've been getting "drawn" to only the wrong people so far,
4. and without considering there might be some faulty programming at your end possibly owing to a lifetime exposure to totally misleading concepts of romance, values, my-love-will-transform-him traps etc,
5. and then if you give up on the wonder and potential of having a life partner entirely,
6. then you're only fooling yourself.
7. Because you tested the fakes and based on that experience, gave up on the originals without really trying them. (yes yes I'll finally get judgemental about X and Y now, Let's call one real and the other fake. Finally.)

It's like trying out a ridiculously priced nicely packaged organic product at a supermarket like Reliance Fresh or Dorabjee's, then finding out that it's actually not organic, and based on that experience, declaring that there's no such thing. The real genuine organic products might not even come in attractive packaging, and might not even be on your supermarket's shelves because of the inherent market mechanisms at play. It might take some time and effort to find them. And the crucial factors here too will be trust and reliability, long term knowledge, reviews by others you trust; not how attractive it looks or if its being pushed onto you with aggressive advertising that targets stimulating your subconscious (ooh I'm loving this analogy) and is giving you unrealistic promises. And even there, the searching isn't easy.. there's a chance that still things won't work out. And then you have to learn from that experience and try again. But for God's sake don't go around claiming that you've tried it all : there's a good chance you haven't.

So, this can actually work to an advantage : If you've resolved to be single but aren't so sure about celibacy, then how about this : have one night stands and casual relationships with X guys! You've resolved that you don't want anything long term, right? So communicate that properly but by all means please proceed with the experiment!

Besides, the "I want to be single" phase is just that : a phase, possibly co-inciding with a big change/leap in career or location that you might want to focus on at the time. We've all been through that, and I feel even when in long-running relationships people need these times. But please go ahead and ask your nearest X guy or other female friends if that phase lasts forever. Even being extremely happy with the work you're doing and how your life is going, will at one point lead you to want to share that happiness with someone special. Do the children from Children Home's have the right of Open learning education?

I, Mohammad was a student of Mauli Children Home, Kondura, Tal. Sawantwadi, Dist- Sindhudurg, Maharashtra till 2003. Crucial circumstances compelled me to get admitted in Children's Home. The children from Children Home were & are looked upon like poor orphans. We were not allowed to do any work except studying as the officials running the Children Home feared that the inspectors visiting the institution would report such instances as making the children to work as laborers. These children are never exposed to the outside world and thus are unaware about the outside happenings. Lack of knowledge and wisdom makes it difficult for the officials of the Children Home, to admit any of its Tenth pass or fail child in a particular course of the child's choice. Thus many of the children like me are confused.

That was the time when my fate brought me to "SYAMANTAK" a school without walls at Dhamapur, Maharashtra. The preaching in this school exposed me a world which I never dreamt of. I gained confidence, self esteem and even could sparkle my newly revealed skills. A boy like me who had never ever heard of IIT till I entered "SYAMANTAK" , got an opportunity for getting exposure at IIT Powai (Mumbai) (which I was not so impress)
I was nurtured at "SYAMANTAK " in such a way that being 8th std. dropout, I worked as a Co-Ordinator & Teacher's Trainer for IBT in the same school.

My selection in the 3rd Batch of a project called "Nirman" by Dr. Abhay Bang was another feather in my cap, since I was the youngest, the least qualified and the first ever candidate from Sindhudurg.
13th December 2015 was a D-Day for me when I got an opportunity to appear in a BBC's programme "Aaj Ki Raat Hai Jindagi"on Star Plus. It was a heavenly experience for me to be with Mr. Amitabh Bacchan .
After 3 years at school without walls, I thought of testing myself & excelled in flying colors. Without any basic certificate in Computer Technology, I dared to run a computer institute successfully for 2 years. That was the time when I thought I should go back to the roots in Sindhudurg. I quit from the flourishing computer institute and returned back to School without Walls now "University of Life" at "SYAMANTAK" . Today I feel very proud to be a managing trustee of "SYAMANTAK".

Today I am above 18 years and thus Child Care and Protection Act is not applicable to me. On the path of my struggle to prove myself, I always have a regret that the CWC officials look upon and treat me as a orphan from Children Home. Is it right on their part? Is it justified that a institute which made me what I am today, be blamed for exploiting children?

Don't the children from Children Home's have a right to Open learning education like the Home schooling, unschooling, Nai Talim etc? or is this open and democratic education limited to a certain class of people in society.

Is it reasonable that even after years, the society is compelled to treat such children as orphans?

I feel disgusted when the CWC officials trouble us for nothing even today. Is it vindicated?

As a free human being, don't we have the right to change our fate.

QEG Update: Advanced Tuning Video

Forwarding from FTW newsletter:
This video shows an array of never before see effects and footage from the QEG labs. Although we said all further QEG development would be private, we are inspired to open source the QEG tuning procedure, and made it publicly available.

This video is for builders or interested builders of the QEG. It's long, (3 hours) so get your pen and paper ready to take notes. James gives the following detailed descriptions in this video:

Updates on QEG development/manufacturing; what Torelco is offering (complete QEG 'kits' that come in 2 shipments, and parts are also sold individually. Gives links and email for placing orders.)

You'll get  full view of lab, equipment and QEG setups

James describes entire theory behind running the QEG on a harmonic when it's in full operation; shows how to start, run and load the generator on the harmonic

James shows exciter coil tuning; explains how radiant energy comes into the exciter coil and resides/circulates in secondary circuit, and what it means

James explains radiant energy utilization in the QEG

James explains core steel resonance and building the piezoelectric effect to make core vibrate (generates an amount of voltage beyond the conventional voltage that's generated in the QEG)

Discusses frequency differences between different QEGs (variables like steel type, degree of conditioning, etc.)

Safety precautions (monitoring parameters)

HOW TO make Disqus comments work on a self-hosted wordpress site

..including making it show on PAGES and not just the posts!

..and not the regular one. I didn't try the regular one to begin with, just reasoned that yes i'd prefer it if comments load later and don't slow down the website.

Now, after enabling it all, it was coming on POSTS, not PAGES. We need it on pages too.

So I went to Dashboard > Appearance > Editor, opened page.php, and where I found a line having "comments" in it, I inserted this below:
<?php comments_template();
//3 Feb 2016: NIKHIL added this to try getting Disqus comments to work on pages,
?>

(the // lines are just comments.. not necessary but good for tracking back later on)

And now Disqus is loading fine on my site!

Interesting Links for December 2015

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I was gone to an off-the-grid no-network place all through the last week of 2015, (to here) and came back to Pune just a couple of days ago. Wow, awesome way to ring in the new year. Slept comfortably in my sleeping bag through the 12am turnover, but hey it was a joyous sleep ;)

Ok, this is supposed to be about LINKSS... for December:

Delhi AAP government has announced that private vehicles with odd and even registration numbers will be allowed on the roads of the national capital only on alternate days starting next month. National Campaign for People's Right to Information (NCPRI) has put out a detailed analysis on the Kejriwal government's Delhi Janlokpal Bill 2015. Pointing out that as per the draft the Janlokpal is not independent of the government, the report also questions the silence over how expenses will be met.
>> The title is misleading.. it's only the opinion of one group and no mention of opinions of various other RTI activists and groups.
